Axis bank Reduced Savings Accounts Intrest Rate by 50 bps
Contry’s leading private sector Bank, Axis Bank cuts intrest rate on savings accounts by 50 basis points to 3.5% for saving deosits upto Rs 50 lacs. Althoush, the bank has not changed intrest rate on deposits of above Rs 50 lacs and intrest rate will remain 4%.
Syndicate bank Diminsh MCLR by 5-10 bps
Syndicate bank has reduced its marginal cost of funds lending rate (MCLR) by 5-10 basis points in some maturity buckets. McLR for Six month is 8.3% (now 8.35%) and for one year is 8.5% (now 5.60 %) will come in action after August 10.
ICICI Bank launches Instant credit Cards
India’s largest private sector bank, ICICI bank launched instant credit cards scheme for saving account customers to get a credit card instantly. The whole process of this inititave will be digital and competely paperless.
Justice Dipak Mishra will be Next Chief Justice Of India (CJI)
The government appointed Justice Dipak Mishra (63) as the next Chief Justice of India. Present Chief Justice JS Khehar is going to retire on 27 August 2017, and he himself recommended the name of Justice Mishra to succeed him. Justice Dipak Mishra Will sworn on 27th August as the 45th Chief Justice of India by President Kovind. Justice Mishra will remain as CJI till October 2, 2018.

Flexi fare Scheme Profits Rs. 540 crore to railways
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu’s scheme of flexi fare proved to be a profitable scheme for Railways as an additional revenue of Rs. 540 crore has earned within a year. The flexi fare scheme is applicable in Rajdhani,, Shatabdi and Duronto trains, allowing starting 10 per cent pf the seats to be booked at the normal fare and thereafter increasing 10 % with every 10 % of berths sold with a ceiling of 50%.
