Samaadhan Scheme Launched For Collecting Commercial Tex In Tamil Nadu
To collect the commercial tax Tamil Nadu Government has launched a scheme named Samaadhan Scheme .Goods and Service Tax launched on July 1 has necessitated the Samadhaan Scheme to long pending arrears of commercial tax related issues. This scheme is introduced by the Commercial Taxes And Registration Department Tamil Nadu with the hope that this scheme will improve the efficiency of Tamil Nadu Govt. The Samadhaan Scheme has launched to collect the long pending cases of commercial taxes . According to the official sources the total amount of these sources is approx 1000 crore. The Government Of Tamil Nadu is might be considering about giving some extension parties and concerns to encourage the settling dues. There are so many cases pending in different level of court’s due to dispute over tax amount.This scheme is launched to resolve these dues.

To solve problems related to pending commercial taxes Tamil Nadu Government has launches this scheme. If this tax will get collected due to this scheme than it can improve the efficiency of investment in state. Marking a growth of 10.13 percent the commercial tax department have earned gross revenue of rs 67,576.77 crore during 2016-17 as compare to the revenue of 1016-17 which was approx rs 61,709.58 crore. The Government of Tamil Nadu is trying to earn more and more revenue so that the investment in state will get improved.

Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration department Tamil Nadu KC Veeramani has claimed that Tamil Nadu will continue his consistent efforts in parliament and in other forums for suitable modification of many of the provisions of the Constitutional Amendment Bill. He said that Tamil Nadu will continue his protective and supportive role in the GST Council to protect rights of the state. On the response of members about inverse impact of exorbitant tax rete on certain items ,he assured that all such issues would be taken up with the GST Council during its meetings. He said that state has represented it’s concern about various issues of GST and could succeed in redressing many of then in a satisfactory manner.
The scheme would also be applicable to documents pending for determination of market value with the District Revenue Officer (Stamps)/Special Deputy Collector (Stamps) under sections 47-A (1),19-B (4) and 47-A (3) of the Indian Stamps Act, with the Chief Revenue Control Officer under sections 47-A (6) and 47-A (5) of the Act, and with the Madras High Court under section 47-A (10) of the Indian Stamps Act . The Collector has appealed to the registrant public to avail of this government scheme by immediately paying the difference in stamp duty and registration charges and take possession of the sale deeds since the scheme would expire.
