Educational Qualification

  • Candidates those who are going to apply for the CBSE UGC NET 2018 must have Master’s degree or equivalent scoring 55% from any state or central recognized university (SC/ST/OBC/PWD Candidates 50%).
  • Final Year Candidates are also eligible for the for the UGC NET 2018 Examination. These applicants must have qualified their Master’s degree within 2 years from the date of NET results.
  • Candidates whose master’s degree was completed by 19th September 1991 will get 5% relaxation in aggregate marks.

Age Criteria

  • Age Limit for Jr Research Fellowship is 28 years as on 1st July 2018. (5 years relaxation for OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD category candidates)
  • 3 years Age Relaxations for Candidates holding
  • Applicants those who have research experience will also get the Age Relaxation (refer the official notification).
  • For Assistant Professor no Upper Age Limit will be provided.

  • Candidates have to Application fee through credit/debit card or by e-challan.
  • Contestants have to make the payment in cash to Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC bank those who are submitting the fee through e-challan.

CBSE National Eligibility Test Application Form 2018 Examination Pattern {Revised}

  • CBSE will conduct the Paper-I & Paper-II.
  • Paper-I consists of 50 objective type questions (MCQ).
  • The question paper will design from reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
  • Paper-II consists of 100 objective type compulsory questions (MCQ).
  • The questions paper will be based on the subject selected by the applicants.
  • Each question will be carrying 2 Marks in both the papers.

Educational Qualification:-

  •   Master’s Degree from Government Recognized universities in Humanities, Social Science, Computer Science and Application, Electronic Science Etc. and has secured 55% Marks for General and 50% Marks for OBC/SC/PWD Candidates. Besides This, Ph.D. qualified can also apply and students who are pursuing the Master’s Degree in Final Year can also apply. 
  • Those applicants will get 5% relaxation in aggregate marks whose master’s degree was completed by 19th September 1991. The candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Master’s only. The candidates whose post-graduate subjects are not listed in the prescribed list can appear in the related subjects. – See more at: 

Age Limit:

  • Junior Research Fellowship: Candidates should be not more than 28 Years, and 5 Years relaxation is provided to the candidates belongs to OBC/SC/ST/PWD.
  • Assistant Professor(AP): No Upper Age Limit 
  • Applicants possessing will be eligible for 3 years relaxation in age. Relaxation will also be given to the candidates having research experience.
  • No prescribed upper age limit for applying for eligibility for assistant professor.

Step 1 – Registration / Login Process :-

How are already registered for UGC NET 2017 application form they can direct login by using their application id and password. if you are the new user then you must be registered for Apply online UGC NET Exam 2017. Now you will see the screen where you find Term and condition for Examination. you must read all data and then click Proceed for the Further page.

Step 2 – Start Submission of CBSE UGC NET Application Form :-

Candidate must fill all details carefully and finally click on the submit detail option. after Click on the submit button, you will see the screen where you need to confirm that details filled by you is correct and now you finally want to continue for further process. After this step system will generate your Application ID. Now you can continue or skip a further part. you can continue your remaining part using application id and password. Now you will go to Upload Photo Part. Here you will see criteria to upload your Photo and signature.

Step3: Upload Photo and Signature:-

Here you must know about criteria in which you have to upload your photo and signature. After upload your current passport size photo. You need to click on the Final Upload button.

Instruction to uploading Photo :
Image Format  jpg / jpeg.
Passport size photo size: 4KB – 40KB
Photograph dimension(width*Height): 3.5 CM * 4.5 CM
Signature Scanned photo Size: 1KB – 30 KB
Signature dimension(lenght*Height) 3.5 CM * 1.5 CM

Step 4: Application Fee Payment:-

Candidate can use online payment or E-Challan Mode. By clicking on e-challan mode system will generate E-Challan that you have print and submit fee at any nearest Bank. And if you select Debit or Credit Card then you will see the Next screen.

UGC NET 2017 Admit Card:-

The Central Board of Secondary Education will be uploaded UGC NET Admit card on its official website in November 2017. An acceptable photo identity card is any one of college/ Institute Identity Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, Pen Card, Voters ID Card etc. Candidates need to bring the UGC NET Exam Call Letter to the test center in addition to a photo-Identity card.

The selection of a candidate will be based on the marks obtained in the Written Exam and Personal Interview.
