RBI to Issue Rs 200 Notes Soon
The Finance Ministry has given its nod to the Reserve Bank of India to issue Rs 200 notes. The new Rs 200 notes will ease pressure on lower- denomination currency bills. The exercise of printing Rs 200 notes is being undertaken, and the new notes are likely to be in circulation shortly.
Railway Board Chairman Ashok Mittal Quits
Chairman of the Railway Board, Ashok Mittal hand over his resignation to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu. His resignation come after the recent incident of the derailments and a number of a high profile accidents. Today morning Kaifyat Express derailed in Utter Pradesh’s Auriya in which more than 70 people were injured. This was four days after the Utkal Express derailment in which 22 people were dead.
40% Reservation For Girls at Planned Navodaya school
Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said the government has decided to offer 40% reservation for girls at 100 Planned Navodya type schools and five higher education it plans to setup for minority community students.
The Minister of State for minority affairs said that, “We want to empower the communities with dignity and, therefore, are focusing on the education sector. We will give 40 per cent reservation to girls from the communities in the schools and also in the institutes. This is to ensure they complete their education,”

Former Manipur CM Rishang Keishing Passes Away at 96
Former Manipur CM, Member of First Lok Sabha and Veteran Congress Leader Rishang Keishing passed away on Tuesday, following a brief illness in Imphal. He Served as the chief Minster of manipur from 1980 to 1988 and from 1994 to 1997. He was freedom fighter and member of India’s first Parliament (1952 to 1957).

NABARD Sanctions Rs 1350 crore Loan to Rajasthan
The National Bank of Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) has approved a loan of Rs. 1349.55 crore to the Rajasthan Government. The loan will be provided for the creation of rural infrastructure in the state under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF). It includes construction of two rural drinking water supply projects, strengthening/rehabilitation of 1,614 rural roads and modernization of three major irrigation projects.

ONGC board Accords HPCL takeover of 51.11% stake
The Union Government had given nod to the sale of its 51.11% stake in oil refiner Hindustan Petroleum Corporation limited (HPCL) to India’s leading oil producer Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC). The board of ONGC has given ‘in-principle’ approval to attain governments 51.11% stake in HPCL. The deal will be completed within a year.

The Union Human Resource development (HRD) Minister Prakash Javdekar launched ‘‘Swasth Bachche, Swasth Bharat’ Program in Kochi, Kerala. The program aims to prepare a physical Health and Fitness Profile Card for more than 12 lacs of Kendriya Vidyalaya Students.This is an initiative of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) to provide a inclusive report card for children covering all age groups and different abilities. The main objective of this program to aware student, teachers and parents for good health and fitness and encouraging 60mins of play everyday.
Karnataka Government launches Varshadhari : A clouding seeding Project
Karnataka government has launched clouding Seeding Project Varshadhari in Bengaluru. The Varshadhari project is an experimental project, under which an aircraft will spray chemicals to induce rainfall, that will cover Bengaluru, Gadag and Yadgir districts of the state.
