Russia Uses Veto Power on United Nations Security Council to Block a Resolution
On 24th October 2017, Russia used the veto power on United Nations Security Council to block a resolution that was suppose to extend investigation from international inspectors who were going to investigate the culprit behind the chemical weapons attack in Syria.
The chemical attack was done on 4th April 2017 by an unknown entity.
The resolution was backed by the US and feeling dishonored by this, Russia blocked the resolution.
Power & Textiles Union Ministries Together Launched SAATHI Initiative
On 24th Of October 2017, Union Ministries of Power & Textiles Jointly launched the SAATHI Initiative (Sustainable and Accelerated of Efficient Textile Technologies to Help Small Industries).
From this intitaive the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) will take energy efficient Power-looms, motors & Rapier kits and give it to small units.
Project of Developing 7 Lakh Crore’s 83000 km roads approved by Union Government

Temporary Refugee Ban Ended by US President Trump
On 24th October, US President Donald Trump issued an order to end the 120 day temporary ban on the US refugee programme.
