Pulitzer-Prize Awardee Poet John Ashbery Passes Away

Pulitzer-prize winner, poet John Ashbery, a post-modern American trailblazer, has passed away at age of 90 in Hudson, New York.
His 1975 collection “Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror” made history when he became the lone writer to earn three major accolades the same year for the same work: the Pulitzer in addition to a National Book Award and a National Book Critics Circle Award.

PM Modi Strongly Speaks About Setting Up a BRICS Credit Rating Agency

Prime Minister Modi today at BRICS Summit in China strongly spoke for setting up a BRICS credit rating agency to counter western rating institutions and cater to the financial needs of sovereign corporate entities of developing nations.
“Our Central Banks must further strengthen their capabilities and promote cooperation between the Contingent Reserve Arrangement and the IMF (International Monetary Fund),” the prime minister said in Xiamen, China.

The National Planning Commission, apex advisory body of the Government of Nepal, and the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Nepal inked the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF).
