The Mars Orbiter Of India has Completed its 3 years

The dream mission which was sent back in space research on the red planet, Mars Orbiter Mission has successfully completed it’s  3 years around the Mars in orbit.

The Mars orbiter mission has completed 3 years and the low cost martian orbit mission will be in good health and will be continue growing, said Indian Space Research Organization

The data which has been received from mars orbiter spacecraft are been analysed, ISRO Public Relations Director Deviprasad Karnik Said.

On the 24th September. 2017 India has send the Mars Orbiter Mission Spacecraft for researching the red planet through revolving around the  Mars in the orbit. It was an immense joy for Indian’s to do this mission. The Spacecraft was launched from an PSLV Rocket from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on Nov 5, 2013  and escaped earths gravitational field on Dec 1, 2013 . As by completing three years in martian orbit, MOM, the spacecraft has released the scientific data for an second year which is from Sept 24, 2014 to Sept 23, 2016.

The ISRO has launched programmes like MOM Announcement Of Opportunity (AO) which helps researchers in the country to use data of MOM Spacecraft which it sends for research and development.

The ISRO had extended the mission for 6 months and cleared that it has enough fuel to last for long many years said, Kiran kumar, ISRO Chief. The mission of MOM Spacecraft is to analyse and research the data by studying the surface to check whether there is possibility of life or not that is checking for methane.

 The  has following instruments  Mars Exospheric Neutral Composition Analyser (MENCA), Lyman Alpha Photometer (LAP), Methane Sensor for Mars (MSM), Mars Colour Camera (MCC) and Thermal Infrared Imaging Spectrometer (TIS).

The Mars Colour Camera embedded into the Spacecraft MOM, had given around 715 images as per ISRO.

There were some disruptions while mission is on going as there was an communication blackout which happen due to solar junction from June 2, 2015 to July 2, 2015 and also suffered an Whiteout Geometry phenomenon which happens when the Earth is in between Sun and mars and solar radiation does not help to communicate to earth.

There were other measures been taken out on MOM Spacecraft to avoid disruptions and make mission long lasting and if possible to expand also.
